Bolt Desk, Reclaimed Pallet Wood, 2010.
I was commissioned to make a desktop for a client using reclaimed pallet wood. I've been focusing on the graphic pattern made by the different types of pallet wood, and I wanted to give the 1/2" wide boards more purpose by using the same species next to each other, creating a lightning bolt pattern. The leg structure is also made from pallet boards, and sets the top a 1/2" above to create a floating effect.
